I never understood the Romo hate(I specifically remember people saying OWens was the reason he was so special), just looking at his numbers, you can tell the guy is a great player

60 Games, 1154 completions out of 1823 attempts, 63.3 % completion, 14734 yards, 105 TDs, 54 picks

he`s played well as a QB in his playoff games, 2006 he ***ed up as a holder, and 2007 Crayton dropped 2 TD passes...the only game where he truly choked where i felt he didn`t put the team to win was last against the pidgeons in week 17 last year...

what more do we want...PEople were calling for romo`s head..When was the last time we had a QB that had us talked about as legitimate Super bowl contenders in multiple seasons...Remember Quincy, Chad Hutchinson, Henson, Testavarde, stone Feet Bledsoe, :vomit:

We got a great QB and he shall remain as such until legitimately proven otherwise.

Because their is a perception that the National media builds.

Not everyone gets to see him play every Sunday like we do.

I actually had someone ask me what the Cowboys were going to do with Romo if they didn't win a playoff game this year.

the only thing that can be deemed worrisome was the INTS (tho he always had a good TD:INT Ratio) and those have gone down significantly in the last three years from 19 to 14 to 8.

I mean in 4 years as a starter, Romo has had three seasons where his touchdown total surpassed troy aikman`s best year...Romo in 4 years as a starter ,is only 36 TDs away from the amount that Aikman threw in 11 seasons...That`s Swaggerifically amazing.

True, but he is probably talking about Cowboys fans, which see Tony Romo play all the time.

For me, it really isn't about Tony Romo's numbers.

All you have to do is watch the guy play and any sane person should be able to understand that he was never the "main" problem.

Tony Romo is a very good NFL Quarterback.

80 INTs? It should be 54 INTs.

If you look at the impact he has on the game and how he makes plays, especially this year, he's top 3.

jerruh needs to send these stats to ESPN, and Tell them we`ll sue for libel if they lie about romo`s performance

I don't even see how you can fault him for the Eagles loss last year. Maybe you should go back and watch that game again - he did everything humanly possible to win that game, he just got ZERO help from the rest of the team, particularly the OL.

the whole team virtually laid down last year in that game- I have not been so ashamed of being a fan for about 20 years. The last couple of games under campo you could tell the team was quiting but that was kind of understandable. Dogging it when a win puts you in the playoffs is just absolutely unforgiveable.

ROMO's INT % has moved downwards, and any QB that can average 2-1 ratio of TDs to INTs is very good. Frankly outside of Witten and Ware I cannot think of anyone on this team that did not stink up at least one game this year.

and their are some who's IQ is dangerously low whom post on this forum who called for the great ones head before the winning streak.

Romo is a deity.

Witten stunk up 1 game I forget which though, and Ware has had a game where he played average (stinking up for him) which passes my mind aswell.

Miles Austin is our most consistent player, sorry to say it to you non believers.

We have at least 3 future HOFers barring injury in Ware, Witten and Romo.

Any talk of replacing hiim after a slightly subpar year is peanut gallery type stuff because young playmaking QBs dont' exacactly grow on trees.

I think Romo is one of the top 4 QBs in the league along with Rivers, Brees, P. Manning. Everyone else is a clear step below these guys. Romo has carried a pathetic OL for 4 seasons - his fakes generate the running game and his elusiveness in the pocket generates the pass protecrtion and his improvisation skills generate the passing numbers. We would go right back to being a very mediocre team the moment he leaves.

Just be thankful that you got to see an NFL legend at QB play so many games. We haven't had one like him since Staubach and many teams have never even had one.

You can have all the stats in the world, until you win the big one (Superbowl) the talk will stop.

Look how long it took P. Manning to get the monkey off his back.

That's a bunch of hogwash "conventional wisdom". QBs do help offenses score points but they don't help out on the defensive side of the ball. They are usually the most important member of the present 53-man roster but they are not the difference makers that many fans and media members hold them to be.

Mark Rypien, Doug Williams and Trent Dilfer won SBs but Dan Marino hasn't. What does this prove? To me it proves that the first 3 played on better teams than Marino and that is about all it proves.

Was P. Manning suddently a better QB the season following his SB win? No, he was pretty much the same player which is consistently one of the best 3 QBs in the league.
