Newman Active Against Bears

Cowboys starting cornerback Terence Newman will make his 2007 debut Sunday night against the Chicago Bears.

Newman, who has sat out the first two games with a partially torn plantar fascia, is active for the Cowboys’ primetime match-up here at Soldier Field.

Other inactives for the Cowboys include starting fullback Oliver Hoyte (neck), who was placed on the injury report Friday; cornerback Evan Oglesby; safety Courtney Brown; offensive linemen Doug Free and James Marten; wide receivers Terry Glenn and Isaiah Stanback; and linebacker Greg Ellis.
