For once, India doesn't suck (as much)!

Abhinav Bindra wins the first individual gold medal for India (shooting) in 108 years.

Next up, time to catch up to powerhouses USA and China.:

(See, India's suckage makes me happy that I'm a second-generation American :D Go Team USA!)

Canada is still waiting for its first medal. People are getting antsy.

We are only expected to get 13-16 so no surprise none yet.

We were expected to win 0-2, so this is a huge surprise :lmao2:

perhaps but in true Canadian summer olympic fashion, they will choke when it counts.

We are gearing to win the 2010 Winter Olympics, that is where we have sunk most of our money.

India: "what do olympics mean? Is there a math competition in it?" :D

You sound like Bob Costas during the parade of nations portion of the opening ceremony:

"And now the Vietnamese, who have had more success in the International Mathematics Olympiad, where they have won more than 150 medals, than here at the Summer Olympics where their all-time total is 1."

Given I am old enough to be her father, I will refrain from openly agreeing with you ;)

She first came into prominence in Canada when she was 15 and on the U19 world championship team in 2001. You are not the first to notice her attributes ;)
