Given that Wednesday practice is typically just a walk-through, tough to take positive news on Zeke serious. Today thru Saturday will be interesting as to his news.

“Lawrence is the team's best run defender up front.”

If so, we now know why we’re having such huge issues.

I don't get this dig at Lawrence. He is one of the best run defending DEs in the league.. He'd be the team's best run defender up front on most teams.. He's that good.. If our other guys were as good as he is against the run we'd be top 5 in that department.

My guess is, and speaking from my own opinion, is that Lawrence was paid for being a top pass rushing DE and once he got his extension his pass rush skills diminished and has become more of a run stopping DE so the salary does not match the expectations.

Tyron coming back is gonna be bigger and more important than most ppl think, imho. The value of having even an 80% Tyron Smith at LT and concurrently then being able to kick Tyler Smith inside to LG will make both the run game and pass game that much more effective. Hopefully he comes back against the Colts.

If he’s 90% it will be huge. But he will probably be rusty.

move Tyler to guard.

I know a lot of you guys don't like Anthony Brown but we really need him back against the Vikings. If Brown is out that puts Kelvin Joseph in the game. I have absolutely zero confidence in KJ. Diggs, Brown, and Bland sounds a whole lot better than Diggs, Bland, and Joseph.

I have always rejected this and always will. Lawrence was paid for being a great player.. not based on one single stat. Maybe he hasn't racked up sacks like some bigger named dudes do but those guys have typically had a lot better help playing next to them and opposite them. I also think the leg injuries, the knee in 2020 and the foot in 2021 cost him a ton of games as well as limiting his explosiveness especially in 2020 when he tried to play through that knee. That's the thing with this fan base. If a guy sits he's soft and if he tries to gut it out and doesn't play up to expectations they're not earning their money.. What I conclude is that once people decide they don't like a guy he can't ever really satisfy them. He's second on the team in sacks, TFLs and QB hits and is tied for the lead in forced fumbles and leads in fumbles recovered. Dude's a good football player.. What they pay him is no concern of mine.

If only he were good more than one big play a game, his name is called, then that's all you hear from him

What does this even mean? Does anyone on this forum watch the games on TV or just me? I get it our run defense is absolute ****, but what a very odd dig on one of the best run stopping defensive ends in the entire league.
