Love them or hate them, Saban and Belichick are iconic coaches who have achieved unrivaled success.
Belichick's 9 Super Bowl appearances with six wins will be difficult to match. And, while there will always be debate about whether it was Belichick or Brady that created the NE dynasty, there is little doubt the the combination of the two was magical.
Saban's seven national championships is equally remarkable. Even in "down years", Alabama was competitive, disciplined and a force in the SEC.
Will we ever see such coaching achievements again? Who knows.
Seemingly lost amongst these two coaching changes is Pete Carroll's departure as Seattle's HC. Admittedly, I was never a fan of his or the Seahawks, but I did grudging respect for his teams.
There are always big name coaching changes each year... these just seem to be 3 of the biggest in a long time.
