Intel integrated graphics issues

I have an Intel i5 processor with integrated graphics and when I install the driver I'll reboot and right away I get a screen very similar to this.

Anybody know what could be causing that? and yes I've downloaded the latest driver for it.

Did you get the error before you installed the driver?

No problem during the installation. It just installs the driver and tells me to reboot.

Is it a Desktop? If so I would just install a GPU. I think you can get an ok one for pretty cheap takes like 10 minutes to install it.

What resolution setting is it on?

Go in to safe mode an set it on a lower resolution and reboot. Until you find one that works.

I plan on getting a new one sometime soon. The one I have now is less powerful than the integrated graphics.

If that does not work boot to safe mode uninstall the driver all the way and then install either a beta driver or 1 revision older driver

I think Yeager is on the right track. If it isn't the resolution, it might be the refresh rate. Check out the info on your monitor and try to set it to match.
