Interesting Double Standard I Noticed - MNF

When Parcells threw the flag, it was to bring to the refs attention that the clock did not stop even though the play went out of bounds. Supposedly that is an unchallengable play and by rule when a coach throws the red flag and the play is unchallengable, then a time out is lost. They said last night that a coach can rescind the challenge after a discussion with the refs but I assume that doesn't apply if the flag was thrown for an unchallangable play. Did that make any sense?

That makes sense to me - that is what I was thinking.
