pulled from one of the dc.com articles:

Sean Payton, assistant head coach/passing game coordinator, called the Cowboys' plays the entire game Monday night. "I like the things he did," owner and general manager Jerry Jones said afterward.

What do you guys think of the play calling last night? I honestly wasn't paying attn. But I think it's interesting BP may be loosening the reigns on the offense.

I think it was pretty vanilla kind of what I expected.

I noticed when Bill went over and looked like he was POed at a play call and started yelling at Sean. :laugh2:

Yeah if you noticed in that shot of Parcells yelling at Payton...Parcell's is clearly saying "That's enough...That's enough"...and this was after a pass play. Maybe Bill didn't want him showing that particular play or something.

I thought the playcalling was OK for what they were trying to do.

I believe Payton should call the plays. He's the guy responsible for the offensive side of the ball and gets all the meeting feedback from the positions coaches probably before BP does,

I also think, Payton is probably more in touch on a day-to-day basis with what players are playing well, injured, their particular strengths and weakness in certain down and distance situations and would just have more of a pulse on the game going in and during it.

I think BP needs to step back a little offensively and let Payton and Bledsoe do their job and move over to Zimmer and the defense and work on this defense and get it done.

It's still a work in progress.

The whole reason we got Bledsoe was for his experience..like a coach on the field thing. Now BP doesn't have to micro-manage the QB as in years part.

Letting Payton call plays is a no-brainer.

But probably not for a control-freak like BP.
