It was my understanding the Cowboys missed the window to interview Coaches that are still in the playoffs by waiting a week to let McCarthy walk. Now I am seeing they are interviewing Kellen Moore this weekend. Does this mean they can do the same with Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn?? What is the rule? Thanks in advance

don't believe everything you read I mean they were discussing the fact that they missed the window to get them during their bye weeks they can talk to on the phone e-mail zoom they can do pre interviews they can feel for the temperatures of the interest levels and what not but that was what the story was about they're saying the Cowboys are behind blah blah blah and in fact it's all overblown as usual with cowboy stories they'll get their interviews done and they'll hire whoever is still available which is everybody except for Vrabel and we all knew if Vrabel was offered the job he was going to only one team New England.

So just ignore all the nonsense that gets thrown up about the Dallas Cowboys all over the social media world because it's inaccurate they'll stretch it out make it look like we're so far behind we won't get any of the candidates we were interested in and I guarantee we will because they're all still left..

That story was simply saying they could have more easily interview them when they were on their bye week and they were Speaking of the two teams that had the bye week that's it some of these other ones are be tougher while they're still playing to get an in person interview but it doesn't mean you can't start the process by requesting and speaking to them first. The informal interviews happen other ways but that will lead to a formal interview if both parties agree to it..

so they can do the same with Johnson and Glenn?
Of course they can there are no rules against talking to a coach about their interest level in an open job you make formal requests if you think there is mutual interest and when they are available they will eventually come in person that's the great thing about all the forms of communication we have FaceTime zoom et cetera et cetera you know the old e-mail that could work or only but goodie I'm sure Jerry likes the telephone he probably has a Rotary dial LOL

You are wrong if they are caught talking to that coach while still in the playoffs without permission it’s a violation of the League Rules ,fines lose of draft picks etc ! Look it up it’s in bold print !

Per Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports “by waiting a week to part ways with McCarthy, the cowboys will now have to wait to talk to Ben Johnson or Aaron Glenn “.until their season ends !

Lol wrong on so many levels

I guess so but there has been zero interest shown by the Cowboys to either of those Guys.
Based only on what the media is reporting. Media doesn’t know everything and you shouldn’t be spoon fed and believe everything they say.

They can request but I don't think the Cowboys have interest in either of them. Definitely not Johnson.

My understanding is they can not block promotional interviews but can block anything on the same level. Yes they can interview all those other guys if those guys want to interview here but now they have to wait until after the SB I believe. I don't think they can interview after the NFCCG and before the SB but I could be wrong on that.

Yeah, he only cares about football championships......what a dud.
If you don't have a prior connection to them then you must have head coach experience college or pro or they won't have any interest in you.

Ben Johnson won't get a sniff here.
