I went to the AT&T store earleir today and the sales rep was pretty much telling me that the iphone 4S was going to be significantly faster than the iphone 4. It's hard for me to explain exactly what she was saying - but I found this online and it appears to reiterate what she was telling me...bc I am clueless on this stuff, my question to you guys is - how much faster will the internet be on the iphone 4s vs the iphone 4..here is what I came across online..

With AT&T only, it COULD be up to twice as fast. It's not guaranteed though. With the antenea changed, the reception should be better so that'll help too.

It will NOT be 4G speed.

CPU does NOT impact your network speed and that is pretty much the only big difference between the iphone4 and 4S.

Well, the main difference.

The iphone 4s will most likely get between 7-10meg on the ATT side but I wouldn't hold my breath. For example, our 3G network here in Anchorage is massively saturated and the best I get on perfect days is about 2-3.

Who knows what they carriers will say to push a phone. I stopped listenting to the carriers back in 2005. They just want the phone sold and your business. Most of the CS people I talk to have no idea about the phones they sell.

I personally know more about the models than they do, and that is frustrating.
