Ipod/Laptop question...

My daughter has a new laptop. Is there a way to download the music from her Ipod to the ITunes on her laptop?

They don't make it easy, for piracy concerns so they say, but there are 3rd party apps for it.

iRip works fine, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't carry the file names with it.

I tried it once and it did work.

I'm pretty sure syncing it matches the pod to the PC, not vice versa.
