Is Devin Thomas a dissapointment for the deadskins?

i was looking at their depth chart here, and he is listed in the back as a third rounder wasn't he suppose to be the deadskin's primary receiver? lol

Considering where he was drafted, and the general consensus that he was the best WR in that particular draft, yes. Yes he is a dissapointment.

yes, he is 3rd string, but knowing shanaha way i do, he will get him untracked or shanahan will get rid of him.

Yes. He's been a disappointment, but at times has shown flashes. See: vs. Saints and Broncos last year.

He's very talented, but hasn't put it all together...yet.

I'm hopeful for a big year from him this year.

If he doesn't produce, he could be given his walking papers at season's end.

You have to keep in mind they've only played two seasons.

And the fact that they had a joke of a head coach the past two seasons.

And Kelly's always hurt. If one's a "bust", it's Kelly.

Austin wasn't a 2nd round pick, he was undrafted. If Dez and Lee go through 3 seasons without doing crap then they'd be considered pretty busty.

Dude, they're busts. You need to draft some more WRs with all those picks you get from trading Haynesworth.

Austin was delayed in starting because he was behind TO, not because he wasn't a good player. Reports on him all along was that he was a player and that he had improved consistently.

Different situations.

Miles Austin was a physically gifted undrafted free agent.

Bill Parcells saw enough potential in Sky Miles to keep him as an inactive 6th receiver as a rookie and he wasn't even expected to help on special teams (won the KR job in practice when Tyson Thompson got hurt).

Austin wasn't ready to play receiver his first two seasons and only saw limited snaps. He made strides in year three and became a contributor only to suffer two separate knee injuries sandwiched around Tony Romo going down.

And plenty of Cowboys fans had seen enough of Austin at that point to want the Jets to sign him in restricted free agency for a second round draft pick.

Austin stayed healthy last season and never looked back after finally getting his big chance in our fourth game.

Yes, I know he wasn't a 2nd round pick.

I'm saying that different players break out at different times, regardless if they were drafted or not. Could this be Thomas' year? Yes. But the chances of that aren't looking too good. I just have a feeling that he could be decent this year. (40 catches 5 TDs maybe) But then again, I won't be stunned if it doesn't happen.

You do know that their head coach was one that couldn't even coach a peewee league, don't you? He limited their progress.

Let's see what happens with a real coach.
