Is Jason Dart a 1st rounder?

I could see Dart in the first this year. He has 1st round talent, but needs some time to develop.

I think there are at least 3-4 teams that have to come out of this draft with a QB........Giants, Raiders, Saints, Jets, Browns and Titans

QB's are always overdrafted, I didn't see McCarthy as a 1st rd pick last yr and he was taken in the top 10. It is better for us as 1 of those few blue chippers has a chance to fall.

My point exactly.......

Some are suggesting Sanders is closer to a top 2nd-rounder than 1st. His football mechanics and skills need lots of work. Notice comments from coaches at SB........nice kid, raised right and that's it.

But one person suggested don't expect to hear much about his grade from teams coz of Deion.

I think that at least 2 qbs go before 12 and 2 more should go before 44 which will give us a top 10 player and a top 40 player.

Yeah someone will draft him top 15. Hopefully top 11.

He has an intriguing skill set, but whoever drafts him is going to have to eliminate the handful of boneheaded mistakes he makes every game. He’s somewhere in between Drew Lock and Will Levis as a prospect to me…which isn’t worth a 1st, but QB’s always get overdrafted. Especially in a weak class like this.

I think he's the best QB in this draft. Granted it's a weak class, but I'd take him over Cam Ward and Dieon's kid.

I think he goes to the Jets in Round 2, he may be a top 50 player but he is way to inconsistent with his throws to be a 1st round pick.
Every time I see him play, he always has a couple head scratchers.

Browns will go
1. DE Carter or CB/WR Sanders
2. WR, Edge, RB
3. QB Jalen Milroe- he has really hurt his draft stock this off-season. He is a project. He can sit behind Watson and his fully guaranteed contract for a year or two. He has potential but I think it was a mistake for him to not go back to school.

QB's by round
1. Ward, Sanders
2. Dart, Ewers
3. Milroe, McCord, Howard is a maybe in the comp pick range(Miami or Rams)

Eh, It’s fairly well known that Dart has pre snap issues reading defenses,(mentioned in several scouting reports) doesn’t effectively anticipate receivers coming open and has poor spacial awareness. I’d think he’s a 3 year project learning how to read NFL zone defenses. From the 4 or 5 games I saw him play I rate his ceiling at about Dan Orlavsky lol but if someone else wants to drop a first on him!

Dart could be someone’s Bo Nix under the Xmas tree get you out of the gutter and into the playoffs with the right situation . I wanted Dallas to take him later then round one awhile ago in posts but it sounds like he won’t be there .

The Cowboys could turn there attention to McCord of Syracuse to develop into a 2026 QB2 and give Dak a feeling of challenge and accountability by then with all these comp picks we have laying around maybe get a 4th rounder in a trade to grab him
