Anatomy student here. I didn’t get to see the play where he likely got “injured” but I assure you, he’s likely fine.
athletic trainers, physical therapists, and team doctors would have been on him quickly if he were truly injured in a concerning way. He wouldn’t be allowed to play, regardless of adrenaline or his input. Like a poster above commented, he likely cramped up, or maybe he’s just tired, banged, and bruised up as the injury happened later in the game. He’ll be fine as long as he gets good rest after the game and takes it easy in practice if there’s any injury concerns.
