Just got through working out at 24 Hour fitness in Valley Ranch and there was quite a few Cowboys and ex-Cowboys working out.

Pete Hunter, Keith Davis and Anthony Henry were there working out. They also were with 3 other guys who I believe are Cowboys but I didn't recognize them.

Is Pete Hunter back on the roster or still in football? That guy has really put on alot of muscle and is in extremely good shape.

I always wonder about these guys working out at commercial fitness places... Obviously I get the players who don't play for us anymore, but why do Henry and Ware go there when they have Valley Ranch?

Maybe just to check out the girls? ;)

Last I heard pete hunter was trying out with the Desperados.

Why isn't Keith Davis in Miami? Doesn't Henry get paid to workout?

He was on the team and just left to pursue a NFL job.... No one has picked him up as far as I know.

Hunter was a dissapointment because he could never get over that injury.

IMO, he made a dumb decision to dig in and refused to work at FS when we were desperate for one. Who knows if he would have been any good, but that was his best opportunity.

Oh yeah you're right, he would have been a heck of a free safety in time I believe, because he played it in college extremely well...

Hunter Moving On
The Desperados placed former Cowboys cornerback and AFL rookie Pete Hunter on the Reserve/Left Squad list Wednesday.
Hunter was signed by the Desperados on March 20 and played in six games with five starts (inactive in five games). He posted 23.5 tackles, one interception and three pass breakups.
Hunter, who was nagged by shoulder and groin injuries for much of the season, likely didn't fit into the Desperados' postseason plans.
An original fifth-round pick (168th overall) of the Cowboys in 2002, Hunter played three seasons with the Cowboys before brief stints with the Jets, Browns and Seahawks. He had 55 tackles, one sack, three interceptions and eight pass breakups in 34 career games, including five starts. Possible replacements for Hunter in the secondary are DaShane Dennis, who was inactive against Philadelphia, and Damarius Bilbo, who is a receiver by trade but spent time playing in the secondary in training camp with the Cowboys summer.

Yeah, that and he just wasn't a very good player.

I still wish the Cowboys had taken advantage of Hunter in that playoff loss to Seattle. Guess I'll just have to get over it.
