Is Reggie Wayne unrestricted FA after season?

Well we did run the ball better out of 3wr sets this year. So instead of cutting or benching Glenn of Keyshawn, just go 3 wide everytime. Or at least most of the time. I like Wayne, I don't see any reason, except speculation, that he can't be a "#1" reciever. We don't have any of those on this team anyway. If you can line up those 3 WRs and Witten as TE with JJ or MB3 in the backfield every play, you'll keep alot of teams guessing as to what you're doing.

I believe after the loss and Mannings outburst, we will have a good chance at Wayne- I think he will want a change of scenery.

I agree with your assessment. Look for the Colts to franchise Wayne and draft a running back.

Your idea about picking up Wayne, or someone like him, is good idea so long as we understand he's not going to be our #1 WR, but certainly he better be able to gain separation. But bringing him in only works if Parcells totally on board. I'm concerned many WRs remember how little play Peerless Price got & won't come here without bigger bonus then they might ask elsewhere. If we pick him up, I'd like to see new WR & Crayton get lot more playing time to show what they can do & Keyshawn isn't going to like that if it means less playing time for him. Don't go along with bringing in Randal El cause frankly Cowboys wouldn't know how to use him--OC for Pittsburg more creative on offense than what we have shown.

i don't see wayne going anywhere. i read somewhere the other day than peyton has offered to rework his deal to make it all fit. i suspect the keep wayne and if it get tight they part with edge and draft a rb

Possibly.

What comes to mind is the "Peerliss Price" Effect. He was solid in Buffalo but when he became a number 1 in Atlanta, he was exposed.

Is Reggie Wayne a number 1 receiver? In my opinion, we cannot look for 2s and 3s, we need to start getting number 1s.

If we are going to go after somebody in FA to play wideout, I would only like to go after Randle El, but I dont know Pitt's cap situation.

Yea I like Randal El, I think he would be a very good fit plus he can return punts.

I'd go with wayne too.

As far as the #1 or #2 receiver, let me break a bit of news to you guys. You dont pick up #1 in FAy. the days of Rice and Moss and Moss and Harrison being available are long gone. You have to trade for one. The only on out there it Owens and I am fairly confident we wont even show interest in him.

If you dont have a #1. you can play with 2#2's and you have Key to catch the ball to move the chains. You have Witten, Jones and Barber. If an OC cant make a game plan with Glenn, Wayne, Key and Crayton, he should be working for the Burger King, not Jerry Jones.

You have to line someone up on sundays. If you dont have a true #1, they dont cancel the game till you get one. So the 'Hes not a #1' does not hold water here. When you consider Glenn, do you consider him a #1. In fact hes not a proto-typical #1 receiver in the mold of Harrison, Randy or even Terrell.

But hes good enough to get the job done. Wayne is the same type player as Glenn. If you can work with Glenn, you can work with Wayne.

I'd take Wayne in a seconds!!!!!!!!!! Did you see that catch yesterday in the corner of the endzone. That was NICE!!!!!!!!!!!

Wayne is young and talented and i would love to see him rockin the silver and blue baby!!!!!!!!!

Silver and Blue or Blue and white, not that big a difference to him I guess. He could make that switch from plain ole vanilla white to SILVER.

why bother with TO? the guy is a cancer, next year he'll be 33 in his 11th season, how much longer will he play? there are other options IMHO with more upside and greater long term value.

Who cares about the #2 to #1 thing. So if he came here, and got doubled as the #1 that would leave Glenn with single coverage...I'll take that. If they don't double Glenn and single Wayne, then hell I'll take that too. And if you have Wayne, Glenn, and Keyshawn....that's pretty comparable to Wayne, Harrison, and Stokley.
