I thought he competed well against Chris Godwin tonight. Had some nice pass break ups. With his play in the slot, you can keep Bland at the other outside CB and keep Kelvin Joseph and Xavier Rhodes where they belong - the bench.

I've been saying it since last season, Israel Mukuamu needs to play much more. He's too talented and is aggressive both in coverage and tackling. Plus, with his height and speed, he could potentially turn into a very good DB. Kind of frustrating for it to take Dan Quinn 2 full years to see this, but it was good to finally see Mukuamu out on the field during the most important game so far this season. Hope Quinn keeps playing Israel Mukuamu next week at San Fran.

He played CB in college so it's not new to him. Given the Cowboys' current options, he's the answer for now.
I agree DQ knows what he has with him, all teams are going to have some injuries, and he will have a nice large target on his jersey on Sunday.

guy was injured most of the time since being drafted. What do you want Quinn to do about it?

That's what was said, but Mukuamu was able to recover early this season from a pulled groin injury suffered during the preseason. He was mostly relegated to special teams play during games.

In my opinion, Dan Quinn favors the older veterans possibly due to experience, but Malik Hooker has missed some games this season due to a hamstring injury, yet Dan Quinn refused to start Mukuamu and give him some much needed playing experience...until today. He could have played Mukuamu a bit more on Defense, but he refused until now.

TB12 was flustered and panicky all night due to the lass rush. His throws were rushed and way off the mark.

The coverage was adequate by the secondary, but they really benefited from the play up front.

SF is going to be tougher as a rushing attack and their WRs are great blockers and they play well as a total team. That said— they have not played many great teams, and Dallas has the front 7 to disrupt their offense IF they come to work like they did last night

He is the awnser to something. Im just not sure if that CB or S yet. He is a player though, needs to be above 50% in the snap counts next year

Not only did Brady look old, he played old. His accuracy overall was crap. He looked like a shell of what he was even last year. Lot of that was our defense, but he really missed some open receivers badly a few times.

Hybrid role similar to what Darren Woodson played. Israel Mukuamu definitely has the size, speed and quickness to play like Darren used to. Dan Quinn simply needs to give him more opportunities and reps.

Meh, go follow Brady and which ever team he chooses to play with next year.

Do you remember Jordan Babineaux of the Seahawks? He has the guy that tackled Romo after the botched snap in 2006. He went on to have a really good career as a hybrid. Was their starting FS until the drafted ER and after that was such a key player as a hybrid CB/S they re named their Nickel defense after him. I think he is a good comp for Mukuamu

Don't know yet if he's the answer, but it definitely looks like he's close to turn into starting material

I don’t know about “DQ” not seeing it on Muakuamu, but I get it about his opportunities to play (lack thereof). If DQ takes the approach of getting his best DBs on the field, maybe Muakuamu has made a case for himself.

That Joseph selection in the 2nd round really pisses me off. Such a waste of a premium pick. Creed Humphrey or Asante Samual II would have been so much better picks. Such a reach pick. I hate that pick. Did I mention how much I hate the Jospeh pick?

If the refs allow him to play physical like last night, he can be a really good player especially in the 7-10 yard range underneath. He's also very quick for a tall/long guy. He nearly had a pick last night.

it’s going to be interesting to see who takes Donovan Wilson’s place if he isn’t re-signed next year. I feel like there’s lots of young talent in the safety room.
