It would be good to see the Cowboys take a different approach to the off season!

1) Stop tipping your hand to what you're going to do, the things you think you want to do, have no thoughts about what you want to do. Keep those things internal, and let no sources have any info. Move in silence!

2) Find a coach, let him bring in his own guys, and don't force them to retain guys who Jerry and Stephen like (Greg Ellis)

3) Come up with a strategic plan on what type of team you want to be, and how you're going to surround this team with talent. Are we going to be a run heavy team/pass heavy/are we going to get stronger on the DL/depth at other positions on defense

4) Stop being afraid (this should have been higher on the list) to spend money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're not afraid to make money, but we're somehow afraid to spend money on outside players. Successful teams realize that the draft is important, but adding FA's are important as well!

5) No interviews

6) Get together with your top players and see what their schedules are for the summer to see if they're really going to be leaders and do what they say (Micah).

I'm sure I missed something, please give your thoughts!! I could use them!

Simply shutting the hell up would solve many problems, but that’s never going to happen…

Our three 5th round comps ought to be immediate impact starters. Other teams are dumb for overpaying for free agents and are destined for cap problems. Good thing we don’t do that.

Take a player like OO. They may retain him, but if he played the last four years for another team they would NEVER consider him, and may not even know who he is.

Then claim DT to be fixed after giving him a large deal and using a first on Mazi, when the rest of know that isn’t the case and it’s not enough. There’s not a lot of hope even if you try to be as optimistic as possible. They aren’t good at this.
