I actually couldn't sleep much. I woke up at 6:30 on what is supposed to be my longer day of sleep. I am so psyched and nervous about this game. The Giants have some problems with pass defense but they have also had several injuries to key guys like Petersen, Emmons, and Green. Two of them could be back and Petersen may never be back, ever.

Anyway, I think this is going to be the first absolute test of the Giants' offense. The Cowboys obviously have a solid D. And I am still, as a Giants fan, having a little trouble accepting the fact that a Giants offensive team can be this good.

I expect whoever the RB is for the Cowboys to have some problems because the Giants run D, aside from the Charger game has been very good. Bledsoe, Glenn, Johnson, and Witten scare me because the Giants' pass defense has been pretty bad. Part of it is third downs. The Giants have to stop you guys on third downs.

I expect a great game with a decent amount of scoring from both teams. I think we find out which of our teams are for real. And at the end of today, we could determine it is both.

Good luck today but not too much and hopefully no injuries.

Seems like the Giants fans are a bit nervous this morning. I am feeling pretty relaxed right now, just about to have a cup of coffee.

Believe it or not I think we'll probably run more effectively than you believe and pass less (although probably effectively). I think in most of your games you used special teams and some early turnovers to get a lead and that took away the running game more than your D did. The same way your passing yardage is inflated because of the games you've played, your running yardage is deflated. I think we'll be able to run for 4.5 a carry or so today.

I feel really good about this game as a Cowboys fan. I have only a couple of concerns.

First, I always get nervous coming off of a big win. The team is young and might take a quarter or so to get focused - I hope not.

Second is special teams. The Giants ST has given them good field position and scored a few TDs this season. Our special teams have been up and down, and I'm interested to see if we can play solidly and contain your return guys.

Third is Shockey. We are a little suspect IMO with backs and TEs in the middle of the field. I don't love our LBs' ability to cover that area, and Shockey could kill us there.

And fourth is the same as always, turnovers. They can change a game dramatically and easily make the difference between an easy win and a horrible loss.

I personally think that our D will pressure Eli into some mistakes today, hurt his accuracy and pick him twice. He's had some great protection this year, but I think a lot of that is due to who he's played and what the scores looked like. I believe our pass rush will get to him. I also believe the Giants won't have any answer for our passing game. They just don't have the guys to cover our receiving threats and I don't think the've got the horses to get to Bledsoe enough to rattle him.

Gameday prediction: Cowboys 27, Giants 13

Now I need to make my coffee.

Good to see you around Tom. I've read your posts on other boards and you're welcome to hang out for the rest of the season.

Giants will be tested today, and I predict that you will see that Eli is still young, and still has issues on the road...

I agree. But if he doesn't look young, and if he doesn't show any issues on the road... we're going to be in for a tough decade. Because this kid is only 11 games into his career.

I hope I'm wrong, and even if he has a bad game today, I predict Eli eventually makes McNabb look like nothing. Manning is the best NFC East QB since Troy Aikman. :banghead:

Good takes and I agree...from all I have seen Tom is a class act.

I think you'll end up correct about that. The Giants just need to be smart and build a solid team around the kid. This week though, he's going to look like a kid. ;)

For those who don't know, this guy is about as respected as any opposing fan can be over at extremeskins. Welcome to the zone.

Hows it going Tom :welcome: to the Zone. Did you finally get tired of extremeskins and decide to come see a board with some class? :lmao:

I have that feeling again. Which one? The same feeling I had prior to the Philly game. I knew we'd win. F the Giants! They can get some too.

I agree Tom...

and you need to post more.

Good luck today.
