to hand over football operations to Stephen Jones. The only constant over the past 10 years were Dallas hasn't won a single playoff game is none other than Jerry Jones. Stephen Jones would bring youthful energy to an organization that is currently handcuffed by by outdated coaching philosophies/tendencies and a owner who doesnt know that he doesnt know.

except for the fact that Jerry has nothing to do with whats happened the last 4yrs...Parcells is doing everything now...nobody to blame but him

having Stephen "run" things wont change anything because if Parcells is the HC, Parcells is gonna call all the shots

Are you talkin' about Jerry JONES? Thee Jerry Jones that wanted and paid for Ray Finklejagt? Thee Jerry Jones that wanted and paid for #81? Thee Jerry Jones that runs around flappin' his lips about moving Henry to safety and shifting a defense to accomodate Roy? Same Jerry?

This is, of course, wrong.

How was paying for "#81" a bad thing?

When you lump paying for 81 and Ray Finkle togther I assume you mean those were bad ideas.

Then why were you so big on firing his puppet Zimmer, after all why fire a guy that was only taking orders?

because Zimmer was here as DC and DB coach for years before Parcells ever got here, and he sucked then too....having no pass rush, a defense that folded like a house of cards in crunch time and never playing the ball in the air were the norms then too

If Jerry gets the blame for the drafts, the coaches, and the records for the past 10 years, then I'm assuming he also gets the credit for the 3 super bowls in the first 10 years, right?

I don't understand how people want to give the coach, Jimmy Johnson, all the credit for taking a team that went 3-13 and 1-15 to 3 SB's but then blame only Jones for the lean times.

And anyone that thinks Jerry gave up TOTAL control of the team is either blind or naive.

Who's blaming only Jones? As we've all heard/read several hundred times......nothing gets done without the concensus of Bill, Jeff and Jones.
Stay focused, wayne.

Your whole post was insinuating bonehead ideas from one JJ. The #81 call was definitely not a boneheaded idea. The boneheadedness is in the way he was used and the way in which our offense lacked the ability to make dynamic adjustments to accommodate a brand new weapon that made his name running people ragged in the WCO. That doesn't surprise me though. We're talking about a Parcells coached team. This is the same team that staunchly remained in it's base defense after getting exposed down the stretch this season. No surprise here... The only way JJ get the most out of his TO investment is if Parcells let's go of the reigns and gives his coordinators some breathing room. Otherwise, it will be the equivalent of yet another 8-8 season in 07.

34-30 in 4 years without one playoff win doesn't cut it.

Betcha $100 that doesn't happen anytime in the near future.

Not that I disagree with you, mind you.

Yes the same Jerry Jones (if you go back 20 years instead of just 10) who was the GM of a team that won 3 (and should have been more) super bowls.
