And I agree. Hurts is a good Philly fit, and I'm not trying to be cute and say he sucks or something stupid.

Hurts can handle the scrutiny. And that's one thing that people here tend to forget about being the QB of the Dallas Cowboys, too. Both Dak and Jalen don't have the luxury of just going out there and being a QB-- they have to handle a relentless fanbase or an immense spotlight. They don't get to be Justin Herbert who is just one of two QBs in the same city.

Bingo! Which means the QB of the Dallas Cowboys is not for the faint of heart. If there are any weaknesses or cracks in your psyche, they will be exposed. Dak said as a rookie that he never gets nervous before games...well...we now know he does during games. Hurts though may actually be wired so as to be indifferent to all the scrutiny. Probably sucks when telling him a joke or needing to relate to him, but it's golden for a QB in the spotlight.

Modern day Dirk Willems … well without the martyrdom

Willems was condemned for his Anabaptist beliefs in 16th Century Amsterdam. While fleeing his pursuers across a frozen pond, one of them fell through the ice. Rather than using that opportunity to escape, Willems turned back and saved the man’s life.

Ended up burned at the stake anyway, probably should have just kept running.

Thank you for the back story for Dirk Willem. Hopefully the person he saved tried to stand up for him. Doubtful, but I can only hope.

I’m convinced he’s on the autism spectrum. He spoke about emotions and the reporter said something to the effect of “that sounds very 3rd person like you are outside yourself”. That’s a pretty common experience for people on the spectrum. There are some other traits he shows as well. I think his personality is perfect for Philly. Now he just needs to learn to throw between the numbers.

It's funny you should say that. I always suspected that with Joe Montana as well but then I would say no, couldn't be, could it?
