I think there were 2 years remaining on Peters contract.

Giving up both picks and big cap space for the same same player is not a good team building strategy in general.

Having said that, if getting Landry would cause them to cut Dez and save 12.5M then it's worth it.

You're not gonna get many guys around here say they are willing to give up draft picks. Even for guys who have proven success. All those Randy Gregory, Jaylon Smith, and Gavin Escobar types in the second round and God forbid we pass up more pro bowl fourth rounders like Matt Johnson, BW Webb, Damien Wilson. I mean we did get Dak in the 4th, but folks forget that he's not a first rounder. But for every Dak or D Law there is David Atkin and AOA

Yea, I wouldn't advocate trading for him especially on the tag. We need to be active for trades though, we need position upgrades at safety, dt, wr, lb and tackle depth. We could use an upgrade at guard too, but Cooper would suffice.

I know he is not being charged for it. However, as we saw with Zeke, it apparently doesn't matter to Goodell if there is even a charge for Domestic violence. If the player is on the Cowboys and is even suspected, then he has a 6 game ban on the way. Otherwise, sure, I'm down for having him here.
