Personally I'd love this, but remember Parcells is tentative about rookies getting too much PT.

i think both are going to be great cowboys for a long time.

But Carpenter should be.

Hatcher probably will be a better player than carpenter. Hatcher just has to come in on nickle so I think that is a reason why he is playing well and if Canty is here next season then Hatcher will probably be starting.

I think that Carpenter will come along next season but we know that he will work hard to learn the position. I just think he doesnt have the physical tools to be a dominate linebacker. I do believe he can be a solid back but time will tell on how much he will be able to really contribute.

Youre talking bout next year and in a certain situation... Ours :p
I meant that Carpenter should develope in a better player, and only refering to their draft status... Just meaning that Carp should turn out to be a Great LB for that first round draft pick that we used on him.

I haven't been playing close attention to Hatcher. Has he been lining up at OLB or DE primarily?

He has mostly been lining up at DE in the nickel along with Ware.

I really like it when we have Hatcher and Ware at the ends when we play nickel. We were getting pretty good pressure there at the end when we only rushed 4.

Well, he did start Ware for 16 games last, Spears for 13 games, Canty significant playing time last year, Newman 16 games as a rookie, Witten 12 games as a rookie, Zuriel Smith was the opening day return speacalist, Rob Pettie started 16 games, Watkins started the year as the starter (not Bills fault that he could not hold onto the job) Ratliff got significant playing time prior to his injury, and Barber got signifigant playing time also started a few games while JJ was out injured.

But I get your point, Parcells is tentative about rookies playing.

Hatcher must talk alot of junk, too. He gets guys to go off on him all the time, of course, because he's taking it to them, as well.
