I'm actually thankful he played part of the game. It allowed McGovern to come in when the defense was winded rather than having him against a fresh Vita Vea, etcetera. McGovern was pretty solid, and so was everyone else. But I'd really like to see Peters back playing with the team he's helped get this far.

Hope he's alright.

Any news on Peters injury status for San Fran?

I'd be ok going to SF with Smith at tackle and McGovern at guard with Peters coming in for a series or two if needed.

Shuffling up the OL can be tricky in game. But I don't think there is any worry with those 3. I didn't see any drop on the left side when Peters went out.

Peters...Kearse...we're just going to have to wait until Wednesday.

Peters is a shell of his former self anyway, as a player, but he's been a good guy to have working with Tyler Smith.

I actually think the run blocking improved after Tyler Smith slid back out to tackle and McGovern to guard. I hope Peters is okay. He would be a great swing lineman.

He’s depth at this point. id Love him back as a swing tackle, but he needs a whole camp and needs to lose some weight and get his endurance in pre season. He’s home in Texas and we have zero other good option at back up tackle. He’s declined, but as a T and G backup, I’d take him.

From Spagnola:

See, with 1:54 left in the first half Peters suffered a hip injury, and likely one keeping him out the rest of the way in the playoffs.

I’ve always said that he would be injured this year. It happened later than I believed it would. He is a good depth guy at this point in his career if he can be available for 20 plays a game. We won’t even see that now. It may be the end of the road for the future HoFer.

If you watch the game tape, Tyron was probably the best run blocker tonight.

I hope he plays in the role McGovern was. There's evidence suggesting a full game is a lot to ask but if he plays in bursts he can do good things

I think Peters is more suited to playing guard at this point, but you are right—he can’t pull or move in space adequately.
