Just signed a 1 year deal with them.....

Jason Taylor chooses Jets over the Dolphins

The Jets agreed to terms with Jason Taylor on a two-year, $13 million contract, according to the Miami Herald and ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Forget the $13 million number. Taylor is scheduled to fly into New York Wednesday morning to meet with Jets management and sign what is "essentially" a one-year, $3.75 million contract (after incentives). Taylor has been awfully hesitant to pull the trigger on a deal with the Jets, but he finally came to the realization that the Dolphins just weren't interested in bringing him back. Assuming he finds a better early-down option at outside linebacker (Bryan Thomas is on his way out), Rex Ryan intends to use Taylor as a situational pass rusher, playing 25 snaps per game.

I get the feeling the Jets aren't going to make the playoffs next year.

Maybe it's the fact that a lot of first year head coaches do well the first season, then the slide begins. ...especially with the Jets.

Teams that go out and sign a bunch of names normally don't do well.

That said . . . the Jets were a strong team to begin with. You don't get to a conference championship without talent.

But I could see the Jets missing the playoffs, definitely.

Didn't he hate the Jets and said he would never play for them?

I hope they bomb like the browns did that year when every other primetime game was them. Derek Anderson was the next Tony Romo.

Mmmm Delicious New Jersey/New York tears.

ok ill go on record and say they are going to make the playoffs this year if there are no major injuries, mainly sanchez and revis. no matter what a rex ryan D is going to keep them in games. im not saying this because of taylor, how much impact can a situational rusher have really. but the jets will be good this year, and they will make the playoffs, after that though i cant say.

if sanchez gets injured they'll win more games.
