Throws TD’s in big time college completion at OLE Miss has size you like at the NFL level at 6’2” . I can’t see Dallas going another year with out a young QB with upside who can take over if 60 million goes down in 25 .

It’s time to shuffle the QB room if he’s sitting at round three give the new coaching regime a young future QB . Give Prescott something to think about .

I could be wrong but I think he goes late first to end of the second. Some team will take a flyer on him.

You’re probably right he throws TD’s against good competition. Was hoping Dallas could stick to a draft board that has D first two rounds to get that unit some help then go RB & QB in the draft as well.

I'd take him in the second round easily.

He has a good arm, can move, and makes plays off-script. He's leading CFB in YPA and is doing so with a 70%+ completion percentage.

I don’t think there’s a QB in this draft worthy of a high first round pick. I’d rather trade back, picking up extra picks. I’m not against picking up a QB late first early 2nd.

Given what’s going in Dallas with the D i’m not sure McClay can use a 2nd rounder on a QB although Rush & Lance to my mind have little upside it’s churn the QB room time . I want Dylan Sampson as well to juice up the RB position team up with Dowdle.

Jaxson Dart and Sampson would be nice young additions to the O .

Milroe I do not think is going to be much in the NFL. The Indiana QB I did see one game of his; and I would chose him over Milroe
Watch Rourke shoot up draft boards after the Ohio State game. He is already moving up on mine.

I think Milroe really needs another season in college. But with NFL QB money the way it is, he might as well go pro and get paid big for his on-the-job training.

milroe needs as much starting time as possible in college but the money will be too much to resist
The Mannings supposedly are adamant that Arch is staying in to get two full years as a starter; so he supposedly will not be available until 2027

I get Bo Nix vibes on Dart.

Meaning I think his scouting reports will be all over the place here but I think he could end up being a pretty good NFL QB.

Payton was rumored to be in Jerry’s sight when MM was hired but I believe New Orleans wanted compensation as Payton was still under contract . Fast forward to Nix and Payton is winning with a rookie QB .

The QB room has to get churned this off-season , someone young with upside has to give Prescott pause when strip sacks and INT’s sailed into safeties happen .

I really liked Nix last year. I'm glad to have been right about him.

There are certain traits I'm looking for in "modern" NFL QBs. You're obviously looking at height, weight, arm strength, accuracy, ability to read a defense, footwork and pocket presence.

But for a modern day offense - can they make plays off script? Can they throw accurately on the run/off balance? Can they throw dimes to anticipatory routes? Do they have an "elastic arm" that can make throws from multiple angles? Can they make the "big boy" throws, like an accurate back shoulder fade 25 yards down the field? Your top QBs in today's NFL - Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Burrow, all have those traits.

Last year, when looking at QBs that I thought the Cowboys had a shot at drafting, I though Nix and McCarthy had those traits. I was sold on Nix when I saw him make 2 NFL level, "big boy" throws with ease, two in a row. They were the type of throws that your elite NFL QBs can make, but your mid level NFL QBs would struggle with. When I saw those two throws abck to back, I was sold.

This year, the guys I see with those traits are Gabriel, Dart and Rourke. I need to watch more Dart and Rourke, but I'm really, really seeing that "it" with Gabriel. If he was taller/had more of a cannon, he'd be a guarenteed top-10 pick. His timing is off the charts.

In theory I agree 100%. The owner should have let the season play out and be done with Prescott . Now you have the Hamstring surgery on top of the Ankle surgery and you now have the most expensive non mobile 10 yr Vet QB . It’s nice to say draft a QB round one but can your top choice carry a clipboard on a team that’s now in terrible shape .

Drafting as high as Dallas will you need an instant starter and I can’t see Prescott and 60 million on the bench . Dart a little later in the draft pushes Prescott gives him thoughts as three and outs turnovers pile up .

Dak can’t get out of his contract until 2027 if you want to tank the next 2 years, 2028 if you want to try and compete. a 1st round QB would be criticized worse than Michael Penix with the holes Dallas has
