Was hoping Tyler Smith would have flown under the radar more. I had hopes for him in the 3rd at the guard position. Walker, Penning, and Green all flying up the board. I think after the combine Dean may be well out of reach as well.

Id be fine with Dean. Wonder what the Cowboys would do seeing that Linderbaum is still on the board.

I think this is why mock scouts have us passing over him. I am ok with it, as long as we get a nasty LG
I want Green but the problem is he seems to be the only tackle/guard with a first round grade.

This depends entirely on how the front office views the Center position on our roster. If they see it as a truly weak link then I don’t see them passing on Linderbaum. I really like Dean as well but let’s not pretend that there aren’t some size issues with him as well.

The knock on Linderbaum is he is smaller and reports are saying he is zone scheme specific.

“With his lack of size, Linderbaum doesn’t have the best strength in the class. He struggles to anchor in pass protection against power rushers on the interior. Against big NFL nose tackles, he will give up space and the pocket can get pushed back. He is better suited for a zone-blocking scheme is because it his hard for him to move interior linemen by himself.”

It’s just a more talented Biadasz

Much superior prospect and player than Biadasz. I don’t know any legitimate scout that feels he’s not a top 20 prospect. This team would be lucky to get him.

I kind of like picks 21 and 22 for this team. Thibadeaux seems to be headed in the wrong direction.

Linderbaum seems to be a favorite of this board and Cowboys draft nicks. No matter how skilled he might be, I just don’t think he fits our offensive line. The guy is way to small.

The question you have to ask is what's the margin between him and your starter Biadiaz(ms). In other words, how much upgrade are you getting and is it enough to justify burning a 1st on Linderbaum? I'm not sure the Jerry/coaches think so at all. If Biadiaz was THAT bad they would bench him. So for me, I'm wondering if fans/media like this kid at 24 way more than Jerry, McClay, and Stephen.

Well yeah. I wasn’t comparing that Biadasz to Linderbaum on talent. It’s like us drafting a SS who struggles in coverage.

I simply meant he isn’t strong or overpowering. Struggles against bigger lineman and can be bullied around. Biadasz is the same type of player who ends up on his butt.

Youre going from average starter who isn’t strong, struggles against bigger guys for a better player who struggles against the same type of player.

He goes to a zone scheme he is a 10 year pro bowler

So far I have only heard rumblings the Cowboys like Penning and Zion Johnson.
