""If you see us moving in anyway by chance during this trade deadline, trading somebody, that would be because we are going in a different direction with defense/offense, we are going in different directions than we did with Quinn and so the same skill, the same player might not work as well in what we want to do with Zimmer"

Are we really sure Big Mike and Zimmer won't be back next season?

Zimmer thankfully has a 1yr deal. Why on Earth would Dallas do anything to shape a roster around his scheme during the season? He'll be gone. Let him deal with what he has just like how you did MM with the offense, Jerry.

The offseason was for getting people who fit the "scheme" (whatever it is).

They need 2 running backs and 2 dtackles. You get these in the draft. It comes down to they need more draft picks. Trading Parsons would help them in 2 ways. It would give them draft capital and help them in cap space by protecting them from the way they negotiate contracts. The rest is bs.

By your logic then you would need 2 RB's, 2 DT's and 2 passrushers.

It sounds like he already has someone in mind to move. The question becomes who would another team actually want that is the DQ guy that may no longer fit?

Osa? He has had a down year under Zimmer, so that could be possible. Although the Cowboys are likely to get a comp pick if he walks after the year so he would have to net us a decent pick coming back.

Mazi? I doubt you could move his contract

Overshown? Probably not, but he could be a sleeper candidate to get moved. If someone wants to pay a premium for his potential he is one way to get you a high pick without moving a top guy like Parsons.

Micah? We all have gone over that scenario multiple times, if they lose the next couple games I think it could be possible.

Hooker or Wilson? Both have an out in theri contract after this year anyways, could be possible, but im also not sure who would give anything up for these guys?

My logic fixes the running game and fixes the dtackle problem that they have had for a decade and gives them cap space going forward.
