I’d prefer they take the Rams approach. They don’t even meet with players, including 0 top 30 visits. Takes all the bias out of, just let the tape speak for itself. Also not difficult to make a few phone calls to figure out what kind of person a prospect is.If Jerry has some kind of personal connection with a player, he's as good as picked.
It gives him ammo to ramble and spin a 'charming' story at the press conference. When you don't know what you're doing, you justify your decisions because of your 'gut feeling'--and that's all Jerry's got.
You are on record saying that they don't know what they are doing with the Golden pick. That's interesting. He looks pretty good.If Jerry has some kind of personal connection with a player, he's as good as picked.

Geezus, are we really going to do this?

Sad but true. Big mistake. Jerry needs to trade down and pick up extra Day 2 picks. This man continues to do the least to help the team. SmhIf Jerry has some kind of personal connection with a player, he's as good as picked.

Not what I'm saying. I'm saying Jerry--as a GM--has no idea what he's doing. That's why he relies on folksy things like 'was this guy raised right', or 'i talked to his momma, that's a good family right there'/ I think Golden is a good prospect, though not at all my favorite option. You are on record saying that they don't know what they are doing with the Golden pick. Who exactly makes the calls on these draft picks? I have to assume Jerry but not sure.So has this happened before in past drafts?
Of course. Taking a player in the first round that no one has graded as a first round player.Geezus, are we really going to do this?
? Plenty of people have him going in the first.Of course. Taking a player in the first round that no one has graded as a first round player.
