To be fair, Jerry is probably seeing double the number of receivers out there by the 3rd quarter. He wants them ALL to eat…..

CapnCrash touched on this in another thread.
Better for CeeDee to keep his mouth shut or fall in with the Beasley, Dez and Coop WR outcome.

It's prolly why McCarthy had to have a damage control one on one with CeeDee cuz McCarthy knows the last thing he needs is his WR1 making public about the offense's passing struggles. He's trying to nip it in the bud before it goes viral.

All guesswork here obviously but it makes sense to me.

To be fair he shouldn't be concerned.
He's not the coach...or is he?

Jurruh needs to focus a large part of his remaining mental faculties on more important things:

Remembering where he parked
Remembering what day of the week it is
Remembering who the large grinning idiot is that's always beside him or behind him, EVERYWHERE , saying Yes Yes Yes.

Not soiling himself.

Worried about CeeDee's production? Jerruh probably does even remember who CeeDee is. He may not remember what a wide receiver is.

In general, I agree with what Jerry is saying. Dak should be throwing probably 25-30 times per game and you're splitting those targets between Lamb, Cooks, Gallup, Ferg, and Schoon, and Pollard mostly. Most games probably will be 4-5 catch type of games if this team/offense is going as they should. The issue is when you have a 42-10 blowout and your star receiver only gets 5 targets for 49 yards. That's just unacceptable and comes down to three possibilities:

1) The WR isnt that good and can't get open
2) The OC has not idea how to scheme a player open
3) The QB can't get the ball out effectively

People can fight over #2 and #3, but I'll say confidently that Lamb is a really good receiver.

Why do they even interview Jerry? We all know what he's going to say.
Because he is a 100%, plat-guaranteed (my apologies @GORICO) 24/7 soundbite extravaganza. He is a virtual clickbait goldmine feeding talking sports head shows, sports radio and news publications, sports fan forums and the occasional late night talk show comedy writer suffering writer's block.

Wish I had known this before I drafted CeeDee in my FF league!
One of my good friends was killing it last season in fantasy with Lamb. I had to get him. I got him this fantasy draft. With the exception of the Giants game, I have been doing this after getting him: :banghead:

Ok, CeeDee should change his number next season. The price isn't going down because the QB isn't throwing him the ball...CeeDee has all the leverage.
