Jerry Lewis to retire from telethon

It's the end of a TV era.

After 45 years of hosting the iconic Muscular Dystrophy Association Labor Day telethon, Jerry Lewis is passing the mic in September.

It's will be a sad day for the telethon. Hopefully whoever takes over can keep it going.

i used to watch it over the labor day weekend - the times he did when he was on air for almost the complete show.
