Cowboys owner Jerry Jones when asked on @1053thefan about the potential impact of losses like Sunday’s being magnified by head coach Mike McCarthy being in the final year of his contract:

“I don’t think where he is with his contract has anything to do with (the Week 1 win at) Cleveland, where we were giving accolades out to him and (Mike) Zimmer or how we played Sunday. … We’re trying to get this team ready and in place to really make a run at the playoffs. On any given Sunday you can have a bad day in the NFL.

“… If we’ve got any albatross around our neck, it’s that we’ve been a good-to-very-good team during the season over the last 4-5 years with Mike and we haven’t done well in the playoffs. So let’s trade some challenges during the season for doing well in the playoffs, if you want to look at it that way.”

This team isn't making the playoffs. You look at teams like Atlanta, New Orleans, Minnesota, they are all improved. The play hard for 60 minutes and they execute well. These teams are going to stomp on Dallas if/when they meet.

The Cowboys will be lucky to come in 2nd in their own division.

Another words: Anything that happens badly for this team, JERRY will always offer a glimmer of hope and gladness that things will somehow work itself out! lol

If Jerry didn’t make it as a super successful football mind he would have had a great career in sales.

Look you're overreacting like everyone else let's just calm down about we're not making the playoffs and we'd be lucky to be second our own division why don't we play out the rest of the season and let it dictate that it kinda tends to happen that way where you have a few bad games and I actually like that response from Jerry he's right the ebbs and flows of the season it's a week to week league..

Everyone's going to overreact to wins and losses and we need to let this play out it's a battle of attrition you never know what's going to happen with those other teams.... And I'm gonna stay true to my comment let's not make these wholesale remarks after big wins or losses... Move on to the next week we've debated this into the ground now...

Let's see if we show up against the Ravens it's a good test both teams are angry they don't feel like they're playing up to par this year and it's gonna be very interesting..

We do know this Mike McCarthy's three in one after losing games by this margin... So he's usually good at responding the next game and having his team ready to play very well so we'll see...

MM is limited with an albatross contract to a QB to which he has done everything a coach can do to put lipstick on a pig. Team really needs a RB ( I think they find one in Cook or a FA soon) and another stud DL and LB. Both are not on the list of priorities for the Jones family bc they don't sell Jerseys. Dallas had Dak in the position he needed to be in. Under pressure to prove his worth. They caved and made the ultimate big mistake.

MM will be fired at season's end. Maybe its deserving, maybe not. The 240 million $$ coach killer is in charge now.

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, and
Wisdom to know the difference.

Lol....more "calm down" stuff. He sounds plenty calm to me.
Because he doesn't share your opinion on things he must be a raving lunatic, eh?

Please bring in cook now so we can see rb won't matter to much until we fix oline blocking and scheme.

Or I suppose we roll with "he's just another washed up rb" instead.

Epic, HOF level post.
Beautifully said brother.
The closing Serenity Prayer was outstanding.
