I think Jerry prefers a younger cheaper option. Richardson is about done anyway.

He's going back to the Jets after Week One.

They didn't want to guarantee the contract, but he's agreed to go back.

Plus he's too old and we would not want to guarantee a deal either for him.

He's going back to be a team leader and a mentor for John Conner.

I disagree. I'd rather give Gronkowski a chance. I like what I see from him. I don't know why. I guess it's because he's a bigger fullback and not a small, stout guy like Deon Anderson.

I have known the name for years but there was a great article in SI a few weeks ago about Richardson. He seems like a guy who would be easy to root for.

BTW, in the article it mentioned he was in the Cowboys camp in 94. I guess we had Moose at the time and Richardson was an undrafted free agent. Pretty amazing a fullback is still playing at 39 years of age.
