Just a reminder........
It means he's not laser-focused on a 'chip. What does that even mean?
That is messed up. lol
Sounds about right. It means he's not laser-focused on a 'chip.
He's laser-focused on keeping his team in the news and garnering attention as long as possible within his reasonable GM means each season.
Money, my man. Money.
No going for it and bottoming out in pursuit of the apex.
Staying around the 2nd Tier and lasting to at least the 1st round.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
It's fine when your owner has this posture.Sounds about right.
It means Jerry isn’t desperate enough to do anything to win. He considers being “viable” and talked about as success. There are a ton of fans on this board that want to win more than Jerry Jones does. There are a lot of things this team needs. But it all starts with this guy backing off. And he won’t.What does that even mean?
"I think ownership and the functionality of the front office is most important." - Sean Payton, yesterday. Does that sound like the Jones boys?Perhaps you will not agree with me but I am of the opinion that MM was on a short lease this entire season. If they cannot beat a poor Tampa team on Monday night and are bounced in the first round again. I think MM gets the sack. Jerry knows of a coach, that will be available and who has a great relationship with. Many consider him to be an offensive "genius".
He worked for Jerry before and they have a great relationship. We'll see."I think ownership and the functionality of the front office is most important." - Sean Payton, yesterday. Does that sound like the Jones boys?
Now he's an established head coach with leverage and options. He doesn't need Jerry. Payton will want power that Jerry has been reluctant to concede. We'll see, indeed. He worked for Jerry before and they have a great relationship. We'll see.
Payton will demand a certain amount of autonomy and that could be a good thing."I think ownership and the functionality of the front office is most important." - Sean Payton, yesterday. Does that sound like the Jones boys?
Having a “great relationship” with Jerry when you don’t work for him is way different than when you do. Sean Payton is not used to working as a HC without the power Jerry never gives any of his HCs. Since Jimmy left, Jerry has made it crystal clear, he does not respect the need to have a strong HC.He worked for Jerry before and they have a great relationship. We'll see.
Something tells me if Mike is fired. Stephen is making this coaching hire. And telling daddy to stay out of it.Jerry's expectations.
What's he going to do if they're not met, fire another yes-man and replace him with yet another yes-man?
