A female reporter from TV Azteca was present today. Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation tell us that the Jets responded to her presence by "acting like frat boys."

Hubbuch described the scene as "hilarious," but that sentiment wasn't universal. We're told that the reporter went into the locker room after practice, and that some of the players behaved like construction workers and/or prison inmates.

Some believe that the reporter appeared to be embarrassed, to the point of being close to tears. Other reporters found the behavior of the players to be juvenile.

NFL to investigate "troubling" Jets locker-room incident
Posted by Mike Florio on September 12, 2010 1:54 PM ET

On Saturday, a female reporter from TV Azteca visited Jets practice. And she quickly became the center of attention.

In the locker room after practice, some players behaved in a manner that multiple reporters regarded as inappropriate. And now the league is investigating the situation.

"When we first heard of it, we immediately started the process of looking into it," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told USA Today. "It's troubling. We've had contact with the team multiple times and are moving very aggressively to establish the facts."

Jets adressing alleged harassment of female reporter

By Doug Farrar

With all the hubbub about "Hard Knocks" and the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football, the New York Jets have something else to deal with - and unlike your average Rex Ryan soundbite, there's nothing funny about it. Inés Sainz of the Mexican television network TV Azteca, claimed that she was harassed by players and coaches in practice and in the team's locker room last Saturday. From the New York Times:

The New York Post reported that during drills, Dennis Thurman, the team's defensive backs coach, purposely overthrew passes that landed near Sainz on the sideline. The Post also reported that linebacker Jason Taylor(notes) volunteered to join the defensive backs. Players also reportedly made sexually suggestive comments in the locker room after practice ... In a statement released by the Jets, Johnson stressed to Sainz that "he expects all members of the Jets organization to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times."

Defensive tackle Kris Jenkins(notes) also reportedly told Sainz that "this is our locker room!" when another reporter asked Sainz if she was okay.

"I die of embarrassment!" <A href="Sainz wrote in Spanish on her Twitter account. "">Sainz wrote in Spanish on her Twitter account. "I am in the locker room of the Jets waiting for Mark Sanchez(notes) while trying not to look to anywhere!"

Now, everyone should be able to do their job free of harrassment, but was she dressed in a manner befitting of a professional journalist?

If you walk around in skin tight jeans, you have no business being embarrassed when someone talked about your skin tight jeans. As Chappelle would say, you may not BE a sex object, but you are wearing a sex objects uniform.

Women shouldn't be allowed in men's locker rooms...period. Men aren't allowed in women's.

And if she walks around in the outfits she walks around in, she's asking for it (within reason, not rape, but at least comments and cat calls).
