Jim Harbaugh as DC ?

Why would he accept that? He's one of the hottest college coaches in the country right now. He'll be on any short-list for any high-profile college job this year, and probably even some pro jobs.

All that said, I don't think he's qualified to be a defensive coordinator. I don't think he's ever been a defensive coach at any level. He may be a candidate for our next head coach, but certainly not as a def. coordinator.

well there on the Stanford site there is no DC but a OC

so I assume he calls the D

Stanford's defense is horrible. Why would you want whomever runs that defense as the DC in Dallas?

I think Harbaugh might end up at Michigan. I know that the Michigan AD has said that Rodriguez is safe but we'll see what happens. I don't think the NCAA is done with Richie and I also don't think that the only think Rodriguez has done wrong is practice too long. I suspect there is more there and I would not be surprised to see Rodriquez gone and Harbaugh brought in. JMO

I can't imagine why he'd come here to be a DC when he's the HC where he is and will be a hot coaching canidate for any of the job openings that will come up at years end.

what you think ?

if Wade gets the axe

JC as HC
Harbaugh as DC

Well, Harbaugh was a quarterback in the NFL, so I'd think he'd be more of an offensive coordinator...

I like Harbaugh a lot, and he'd be on my short list of coaches if I were looking. He's an offensive guy though, not defense. He comes from a great coaching back ground, and has been around football all his life. I like his tough guy attitude, and think he'd do well as an NFL head coach if he had really good/experienced offensive and defensive coordinators around him.

I would rather Harbaugh stay in Palo Alto. I enjoy watching him kick the crap out of Pete Carroll and the U$C trojans.

Add +1 for me.
