In his book, he wanted to move up the draft and get Peyton Manning as his pick. History would have been a different story on Bellichik and Brady being in same division as Jimmy Johnson and Manning.

I am reading snippets of it from the web, twitter etc sources. Might get a copy.

He can say that all he wants, Indianapolis wasnt going to move out of that pick

So did a lot of other teams. Jimmy stated that they did not have the trade collateral to make it happen, but as @darthseinfeld mentioned, there was no way the Colts were going to trade that pick away.

I read the book, but this is still a weird thread.

Jimmy was drafting 19th. Of course he wanted Peyton. Almost everybody did. He even offered his entire draft to the Colts and it still wasn't good enough.

Archie even called Jimmy asking him to try and get him to Miami
