hungry.damn.he knows deep inside that he hasnt played his best this year.If dallas can keep mchunky off the field by running the ball and controlling clock,we may win.

JJ has absolutely nothing to be ashamed or upset about this year. With the play-calling and blocking the way it has been this year, I'm pretty content with what he's been doing so far.

Hasn't played his best? That's nuts. JJ has been very good while getting inconsistent blocking.

Don't talk bad about his performance just because he's hurting your fantasy team.

Julius won me a fantasy game two weeks ago.

im not talking bad about him,i think hes very good, but cmon he has like 100 carries, jesus, not one big break at all?i can accept bad blocking, but every time?I think he will be a league great.but he is having a ruff time out there now.

Crazy talk -- most backs wouldn't have hit 50 yards in any of those games. Eddie George would have like 40 yards total. if you look at the greats game by game, most are great because they can make tough yards against D's that are stacked to stop them and they get yards even when the blocking sucks.

yeah, good thing we have him and not portis cause then he'd be running for minus yards

I don't know about you, but I've seen every minute of every Cowboys game this year, and I can't think of one occasion where there was any kind of large hole for JJ to run through. This wouldn't be a problem if the play-calling ran him outside more, but I digress... He does his most damage after he clears the LOS, and he hasn't been allowed to really do that at all this year. Not to mention the Cowboys have played 3 of the better run defenses in the league this year.

I'm not ready to jump on the "JJ is doing just fine and dandy BAndwagon" just yet.

I love JJ to death and believe me I want him to do good just as much as the next guy. But in all honesty JJ is not playing at his best. Sure you can blame his slow start to the O'line.

I know JJ is not just another average RB that gets only what the O'line gives him. NO I refuse to believe that, he's better than what we've seen and that's the truth.

JJ has a lot of time to improve on what ever is going wrong and like the thread starter said he must be feeling a little mad and ready for some action.

Whether or not you want to believe it, 99% of running backs that play the game are subject to their offensive line. Barry Sanders was one notable exception, but he was one of the greatest of all time, and after him there aren't a whole lot of guys who do really well behind lines that aren't blocking, and by aren't a whole lot I mean almost none.

Plus, how terrible are the play-calls that he gets? How is JJ supposed to utilize his greatest strength when he gets called to run up the gut for 4 quarters?

While I think JJ will be fine also, there is something tobe said about JJ running scared. He is afraid of losing the ball in a crowd and uses both arms to hold the all, something he did not do last year. Parcells has said hes not tolerating turnovers and every player is playing a little scared I think. Remember what Dorsett said about him.

BUT......with that said. I think the D's we faced had something to do with that. Those D's were good and keying on him! Though for the life of me, I dont know why we ran into the teeth of the Raiders D last week, but thats another story for another day. When he hits the second line of Defense, I think you will see his wiggle and jukes. We have some weak run Ds coming up soon I think, or hope anyways. I dont think thats something you learn or forget, you either have it or you dont, JJ has that for sure.

well,i dont see any weak defenses on the way.cant get much weaker than san fran.i dont think it matters how strong a run d is anyway, who cares?im sure he doesnt.thats no excuse.they are all professionals.dont u think every d keys on top rushers?hes hungry,a big one is coming.

The simple fact is the last of a passing game threat has limited our running game. We are so predictable, teams know when we are going to run.

exactly

...the fact that ur running back breaks a 80 yrd. run doesnt mean hes great. Right?...chill JJ is fine...

I don't have JJ on my fantasy team this year.

As a fantasy player, this year, he is solid but not great. In fact, in my league, he is the 39th rated RB.

Not good.

(not his fault either, but it is what it is)
