Hard to believe that a prospect like Harrington has fallen this far. I remember at one point JH was being touted as the Drew Bledsoe coming from a high powered offensive program in the Pacific Northwest like Oregon. Now granted his career has been far from stellar, but top 10 draft picks that begin their career in the Motor City has been known to flounder.

Personally I wouldn't have minded giving up a 6th rounder and bringing him here to compete with Henson, Romo and the other young bucks on this roster. But alas, first Akili Smith, and now Harrington....it appears that QB's from Oregon don't appear to be THE ANSWER.

He also doesnt hit a lot of receivers

Like I said, he's not highly accurate. He can make two completions, than the next one will be off by 5 feet. But if the rest of the offense is solid, he's gonna be a lot better than Sage Rosenfauls or Tony Romo or anybody like that. He's not going to make a bonehead play, just a horrible pass. Good enough for the Phins to beat crappy teams if they can run the ball and generate turnovers.

That's a steal for a 6th rounder.

yep, those Lions can't evaluate talent worth a crap, but they know how to make a killin' trading them off :)

He was a Tedford player too, but the jury is still out.

Let's see:

Trent Dilfer
Akili Smith
Joey Harrington
Kyle Boller
Aaron Rodgers

If I were a GM, I would avoid his proteges like they had the plague.
1 - # of super bowl rings as a starting QB for Dilfer
0 - # of super bowl rings as a starting QB for Marino
