Johnson clinching fist before snap?

I suppose you could just play Gurode, especially if the plan is to run the ball and Al is still banged up

Well, if the plan is to go the rest of the season with Romo at QB, then yes, we should absolutely play Gurode.

Thanks, its good to know someone else realizes that the best center will play, Gurode obviously can't handle being the quarterback of the offensive line, so why input him for Johnson?

Sorry I'm not buying this. You are suggesting that Johnson knows the exact CADENCE of Drew's huts. We're talking milliseconds here. Bledsoe delays or accelerates the time between huts based his own decision at the time (unless he calls for a quick snap and that would be on the first hut). If some lineman thinks he can go on a visual signal it would have to be something Drew does, HE determines when the ball is snapped.

I prefer to go with the conventional wisdom Bledsoe and Johnson are trying stay a millisecond longer to make sure the exchange is made cleanly. This should improve each week.

Tivo's great, but the smoke from the grassy knoll was a cigarette puff.

You are actually further supporting the argument that it's something that Al Johnson is doing. If it was something Drew was doing the other guys wouldn't be jumping early. They are because Johnson doesn't necessarily release his hand the exact instant Drew calls for the ball, but rather when he thinks it's going to happen.
