I remember being hyped in 2007 by a comeback victory by Romo over the Lions 2007. I almost drunk the Kool Aid. Cowboys won home field advantage through the playoffs and finished 13-3....Then came Cancun bye week vacation, and losing to the Giants at home in a Divisional playoff game.

Dak Prescott will now get the hype of snatching victory out of defeat with a comeback victory over the Texans...Remember and don't drink the Kool Aid:

December 9th, 2007. Dallas Cowboys 28 – Detroit Lions 27
The Detroit Lions were in full free fall at this point in the 2007 season (a free fall that lasted until 2009), having lost four straight after racing off to a 6-2 start to the season. The 6-6 Lions were met by an 11-1 Dallas Cowboys team that had the Super Bowl on their mind.

Detroit was in control for much of the first half. The held a 20-7 lead at one point during the second quarter, with a chance to pull off a huge upset against a Super Bowl contender and maybe get back on track. The Cowboys scored 21 points in the game’s final 16 minutes, including a game-winning touchdown pass from Romo to Jason Witten with 18 seconds left to play.

Romo would win the series 2-0 against Jon Kitna led Detroit Lions teams, Kitna later became Romo’s backup in Dallas.

I remember that game. We held the Giants to some ridiculously low number of total office of yards. That was a game we’re 99 out of 100 times the Cowboys win. It was just a fluke off day. Nothing went our way. We were 1000% better team it just didn’t work out on the scoreboard. I think we have the Giants to 76 total yards in the second half. Or maybe it was the first half. Total domination. But what we did is let them hang around. And in the end we got snakebitten. That’s football in the NFL though. If you don’t put your opponent away they will usually come back to bite you.

I still remember an easy win in 2007 @ Giants and me thinking that NY had the worst defense in the entire NFL...they were TERRIBLE in that loss....then they go on to win the whole thing....still hard to believe.

Great comp game. I remember that one. What a mess.

Only difference is today we weren’t clinging on to the one seed.
