2 years as QB coach, last year in Carolina, this year in minnesota. A jump to OC seems a little aggressive, especially since his year in Carolina has to be looked at as a failure. I'm not completely against it simply because McCarthy is going to be heavily involved no matter who the OC is so a developmental guy in that spot isn't a bad idea. I think the bigger question is do we really need to have a glorified QB coach as OC for a guy who has been in the league a decade now? I'd actually be surprised if Tolzein's job is on the line if MM returns...and if it is I would look at someone closer to MM.

Darnold has gotten coaching from Shanahan and now O’Donnel….i don’t think McCown has much to do with his progression.

NBC site states The Jets are interviewing McCown for a HC job. Depending how that goes, I wouldn't mind him getting into Dak's ear... But as many have stated, it's sad that 10 years in, he needs help....
