It never hurts to have talented rotational players. That is how you win games.I like Thomas but I don't see him starting over Wilson, Bell or Hooker. But it's going to be a heavy rotational deal anyway. He will play a ton of snaps and receive plenty of opportunities!

Exactly! It’s drivel! And yet this fan base continues to use tweets for factual information!Where is he expected to start? Hooker is the starting FS and Wilson the starting SS, right? I assume when we go to nickel that Bell would be one of the nickel linebackers.
I don't mind at all if Hooker gets beaten out. That's the way it should be if Thomas outplays him, he deserves the snaps. And Hooker is not a bad player, just not so good that he can't be upgraded. I wish we had more position battles where the starter might not be the best man by default.Yeah he may not start the year over Hooker but by midseason he’ll be starting. Hooker looked bad last season and I don’t expect improvement.
Kearse really slipped last year. After we first brought him in, he looked like he was going to be high caliber, but I think he's just had too much trouble staying healthy. He should have been taking away snaps from Kearse earlier in the year last season.
He is a significantly better player than Bell.I like Thomas but I don't see him starting over Wilson, Bell or Hooker.
It all depends on his growth this year. You're probably right, but he may come on too strong to sit.I like Thomas but I don't see him starting over Wilson, Bell or Hooker. But it's going to be a heavy rotational deal anyway. He will play a ton of snaps and receive plenty of opportunities!
