It's too bad he couldn't get picked up by an NFL team.

Siavii played well during preseason, well enough to make the team. However, Brent and Lissemore played well also and flashed more potential. I hate to lose Siavii, but I'd rather have Lissemore and Brent.

Siavii can't play end in a 4-3. Of course he will play tackle.

Siavii showed a lot more than Lisemore through training camp. Not sure why they made that move.

Wasn't this the dude who last year said if he didn't make the Cowboys he was gonna hang up the cleats?

I think allot has to do with how a coach feels about the future of the player more than just the here and now. Saivii is entering his 4th year in the NFL and evidently they see a bigger upside with the younger guys than Saivii. I hate to see him go but when you are a 4th year backup your job is not that secure.

Actually, he was drafted in 2004. So counting 2004 as year 1, it's his 7th year. So he is what he is at this point. And as a veteran, he costs more. He's been a disappointment for a couple teams, as he was a 2nd round draft pick.

Thanks for the correction. You are right he has shown all he is going to show. I think it is decent but nothing spectacular. We have a guy in Josh Brent who has shown the coaches enough for them to think there is an upside to him and the same could be said for Sean Lissemore.

Are the coaches right or wrong in their assessment of these guys? we will find out but they knew what they had in Siavii and felt it was not enough to justify a roster spot at the expense of younger guys.

I thought Price was impressive when he got the chance to play. Although it seemed like Sialvii got play the earlier snaps in the preseason games. It makes me think that they may not be counting on him much this year and will use a guy like Spears if needed at nose tackle.

I would have liked to seen Price against some first teamers or even second teamers during the preseaon games.
