Has Jerry ever interviewed this many candidates for the HC position before any of his past hires?

Thats a good question. I don't think so. This is a pretty thin year though in terms of quality coaches being available. Best to turn every stone.

Probably why Jerry wasnt stupid enough to want to fire Parcells because he knew the market.

Whats happening right now just proves that fans need to be careful what they wish for.

You mean has Jerry set up so many worthless interview for the HC position before?

I mean let's be perfectly honest here, who actually believes that Tony Sparano, Todd Bowles, Todd Haley or even Gary Gibbs were ever truly legitimate candidates?

It has been a two horse show, Phillips and Turner.

All of this rubbish about an "exhaustive" search is just that--rubbish, until you see names like Rivera on the interview schedule.

It's really not too thrilling is it? Rivera's my choice as well. We better pray for a miracle.

Pray away, because there are no other interviews scheduled right now.

I'm afraid it's only been a one-horse show. :(

I'm gonna go say another prayer that I'm wrong, though.

Hopefully the next interviews will be AFTER the super bowl if you catch my drift.

I agree. When Rivera, Rex Ryan and a couple of other top flight coordinators are on the list then to me he has not done an exhaustive search. Instead he has gone through the motions for appearance sake. In other words he is padding his stats rather than doing a truly meaningful search.

When Switzer left, I think they were looking hard at Seifert and Donahue. Not sure if they were actually interviewed by Jerry.
