A lot of people are rightly complaining. We have two players, Dak and Zeke taking up a ton of money, a mediocre at best OL, no star receivers, and a "bend-but-don't-break" D.

So, future GMs, assume the Joneses are gone. Given the huge Dak/Zeke contracts, how would you from tomorrow on begin to fix the team. And no "I'd go get Brady/Mahomes" kinda unrealistic stuff.

What I'm asking is, if there was someone competent running things, could we win 8 games this year?

Nothing will fix this team this season. Wait till the offseason. Dak is out for almost two months. Who knows how Gallup will return. CDL can't concentrate during the games.
Defense is built for attacking the QB, not stopping the run 20-30 snaps a game. With no offense, they will be run on.

1. If Tyler is the answer at LT, move on from Tyron.
2. Cut Zeke, unless he returns to 2018 form at least
3. Don't restructure Dak.
4. Hope that a quality DT falls in the first. I know of Bryan Breese and Jalen Carter.

What Jerry has done is unfixable. But he’ll go into full on “win now” mode so expect a ridiculous trade after they lose to Cincinnati.

Get a real backup QB.

Cut Tyron and Zeke.

Draft a RB.

Trade for OLine coach Bill Callahan.

Do not re-sign Schultz.

Draft Notre Dame TE Michael Mayer.

Sign an older veteran WR like the Bucs did with Julio Jones.

Sign the top available OC in free agency.

Buy CowboysZone and ban haters including "likes collectors". Negative Karma is biggest problem with this team.
