Smart, competitive, tough, hard working, and exceptional character. Those are the criteria I used to select my top 3 choices for my final mock draft (rounds 5 - 7, I wasn't as strict and took chances based on upside-potential). Here's to another great draft by the 'Boys..... :pray2:

1. Manny Lawson, OLB (6-5, 241), N.C. St.; second option: Kamerion Wimbley, OLB (6-4, 250), Florida St.

2. Cedric Griffin, FS (6-0, 200), Texas - Would have been a solid CB, but will be a terrific FS, a tough, sure-tackler; second option: Davin Joseph, OG (6-2, 315), Oklahoma

3. Andrew Whitworth, OT (6-6, 330), Louisiana St.; second option: Anthony Smith, FS (5-11, 200), Syracuse

5. Leon Williams, ILB (6-3, 250), Miami, Fla.; second option: Johnny Jolly, NT (6-3, 310), Texas A&M

6. Alvin Smith, NT (6-2, 322), Oregon St.; second option: Brad Smith, WR (6-2, 213), Missouri

7. Willie Andrews, CB-RS (5-9, 195), Baylor; second option: Troy Reddick, OG (6-5, 330), Auburn

Not bad, I think you have to put Carpenter in the options for our first round, he's probably the surest pick between Lawson, Carp, and Wimbley.
Like the Griffin pick, I also love Davin Joseph. Like my sig below says, I wouldn't mind grabbing Joseph in round 2 and FS Watkins in the third.
Read some less than favorable reviews on Whitworth, one being that he struggles with his weight, two that he has poor footwork. Those concern me.
Brad Smith may not even get drafted so I wouldn't waste a pick on him. I love the guy also but we already have Crayton who would be just like Smith.

Don't know much about Williams or Smith but intent is same as mine when I put Fifita in my mock.
Never heard of Willie Andrews.

Overall, not bad..

I don't think we could go wrong w/ either of those three OLBs (Lawson, Wimbley, or Carpenter). I just prefer Lawson or Wimbley because they're better pass-rushers. I really like Griffin at FS because he's a good tackler, but will also be an outstanding coverage guy. I've heard some of those things about Whitworth, but I've also heard he's a hard-working, tough guy who's dedicated to football. I think he can correct those flaws. IF Smith accepts a switch to WR, then I'd take a chance on him. I see another Hines Ward if he dedicates himself at WR. Willie Andrews is my "sleeper" pick". I think he can develop into an outstanding 3rd CB (easily displacing Nate Jones) - See his profile in PFW 2006 Draft Review.....AND you're correct - "In Ireland I also trust!"
