Just gameday performance or a different team?

So this time I called it. But I'm more happy about the "how" than the score. They worked hard, completely left the "best time of my life" kind of crap aside and just utilized the tools they got in the best possible way.

I'm not saying we're going 6-1 again or anything, but they showed another work ethic and this is what can keep us close to .500 or even above.

Cooper is the very definition of a bus driver. Knows his vehicle, knows what it can do and what not. Utilizes the machine the way it should be used. Accepts that he ain't a super race car driver but that it's just his job to get the kids safely from A to B.

The other guy thinks he is Ayrton Senna while he is just some dude. Doesn't only hurt his performance, but the whole team too. He does have enough moments for a highlight reel but lacks the constancy.

So did we win because it was the reaction to last week? I single firefly in the dark? Or can they develop that work ethic into something we could call a concept? Can Kellen continue to adapt? Does not having Dak help him to do that? I think yes.

Something else to consider.. Tampa Bay’s D kicked the living hell out of New Orleans also. That might be one of the best defenses in the NFL. Which stinks since the GOAT is their QB, but it’s what won them the Super Bowl two years ago.

Bottom line, this was a critical game for both teams, both had a disappointing opening loss and couldn’t afford an 0-2 start. Cowboys wanted it more, showed the heart that it takes to win this season. I don’t know if Rush will get us there, or if the D or ST can always carry the offense, but the team is not going to lay down.
