But I think I get what you are saying. The only thing is, Overeem has only fought in the states once since he 'blew up', and three times in his entire career.
His first fight was against Rua when he had not gotten ginormous yet and was not even a heavyweight at the time.
His second fight was against Buentello, which was when he was a HW, but he had not shown signs of being mixed up in anything ..

Overeem does not even look like the same human against Buentello in that video.
His only other fight was against Brett Rogers, who is someone he would not even need any 'help' to defeat. Rogers catches Arlovski on his glass jaw and suddenly Strikeforce acted like he was some sort of top heavyweight fighter.
