I am not normally very pleased with Kellen Moore’s use of running backs, but yesterday was a nice change. Moore stuck with the run and the running backs delivered.

Moore also did a good job of getting the RBs in the passing game against the Vikings. It really helped time of possession and kept the chains moving. It sure seemed like Moore called one of his best games yesterday.

Pencil me in as someone who hopes he sticks with this recipe for success. This game will travel. It also really helped Dak to get in a rhythm yesterday.

He also did a good job of getting the most out of his RBs. Maybe our coach in training finally grew up a little yesterday.

I actually like Tony Pollard going in the game first and then having Zeke pound it a little bit later. Before Elliot would go in the game and we go to the end zone he was tired. I love the reverse Role ,

Defitnitly stepped up in a big way !

I hate to state this after a complete game like yesterday but it’s somewhat hard to trust Moore and Dak game after game.

We’ll see soon enough.

KM Cannot be trusted. It's not the first time we've praised his play calling only to scratch our heads the following week.

+1. As I said in a different thread, someone in the organization really likes the "pass into tight coverage 15-20 yards downfield as often as you can" offense. Not sure if its Kellen or Dak (I suspect Kellen) but until that person really believes in the running game, the Cowboys could relapse any week.

I don't think I'll ever understand that mindset.

We led the league in points per game last year
We are 7th right now with a backup QB playing half the games
Since Dak has come back we are leading the league in points per game
KM must be doing something right

I know it goes against every instinct he has in his body because he’s been bred to want to throw it 60 times a game, but Kellen Moore could become a head coach if he keeps calling controlled games like he did yesterday.
I am ok with this as long it's not the HC of the Cowboys

I can't wait to see how he matches up against Belicheat.

Why is he so in love with those plays where they throw it to a WR at or behind the line of scrimmage. I know Lamb got a nice 6-7 yes or so off one yesterday because he made the DB miss, but any other time he does those they result in no gain or a loss. I mean set up a proper screen pass if thats what you want and get some blockers out ahead of it and give it a chance for positive yards. God those plays make me cringe.

Those passes are a pick 6 waiting to happen.

Exactly right. Thats what scares the hell out of me every time they do that - or the receiver catches it and because it never fools the other team, he gets popped immediately and fumbles the ball.

It’s unusual, but refreshing.
